The Osirian civilization of the Mediterranean predates dynastic Egypt. Many open-minded researchers and theorists considered this civilization to be highly advanced with ultraterrestrials who made use of air ships equivalent to the Vimana in Hindu text.
Mediterranean Basin: The era of Atlantis
Researchers suggest that the Mediterranean was a large and fertile valley especially during the periods attributed to Atlantis and Rama. During the Osirian civilization, the Nile which came out of Africa was called the River Stix. However, the Nile had a different course back then. Instead of flowing into the Mediterranean Sea at the Nile Delta in northern Egypt, it continued into the Osirian valley, and then turned westward to flow in the deepest part of the Mediterranean Valley where it created a large lake and then flowed out between Malta and Sicily, and south of Sardinia into the Atlantic at Gibraltar (the Pillars of Hercules). This huge valley along with the Sahara (which was a vast fertile land back then) was known in the ancient times as Osirian Civilization.
Ruins of the Osirian cities
It is archaeologically accepted that there are more than 200 known sunken cities in the Mediterranean. Egyptian civilization, along with the Minoan and Mycenean in Crete and Greece are, in theory, remnants of Osirian culture. The civilization built huge earthquake-proof megalithic structures and had electricity and other conveniences common during the time of Atlantis. Like Atlantis and Rama, they also had airships and other modes of transport, often electrical in nature. The mysterious cart tracks found in Malta, which go over cliffs and lead underwater may well be part of some ancient Osirian tram-line, possibly used for transporting quarried stones to cities that are now submerged. But most of the tracks have gone underwater.
Best example of hi-tech used by the Osirians is found in the platform found at Ba’albek in Lebanon. The main platform is made of the largest hewn rocks in the world, the famous ashlars of Ba’albek. Some of the individual stones are 82 feet long and 15 feet thick and are estimated to weigh between 1,200 and 1,500 tons each.
Egyptian god Osiris and the Osirian Civilization
Ancient mythology conveys, this civilization was founded by the Egyptian god Osiris. According to Egyptian myths Osiris is the son of Nut (goddess of Sky) and Geb (god of Earth). Later Osiris was married to Isis and fathered god Horus (who was falcon headed). Osiris is also said to be the brother of Nepthys (goddess of Death) and Set (Egyptian god of chaos and disorder). Even the name Osiris has an interesting history. It has been derived from a Greek corruption of Egyptian word Asar or Usar which means the strength of the Eye or He who sees the Throne. This translation is based on the hieroglyphic name of Osiris with a throne and an eye.
How Osirian Civilization vanished all of a sudden?
The mysterious Osirian Civilization that existed on our planet some 15,000 years ago was one of the highly developed and sophisticated civilizations in times of the Atlantis. There were magnificent cities with roads, busy ports, trade routes. It was house to many adventurous mariners and traders. It is known that the civilization built earthquake proof megalithic structures, there was availability of electricity and other conveniences for the residents. The important commercial centres of the world in those times were ancient India, Peru, China, Mexico and Osiris. Many of the important cities of the times have been lost forever, have been or will be discovered someday.
During the destruction of Atlantis, there was a cataclysmic change in the Atlantic ocean. This caused the river to change its course and the Mediterranean Basin was slowly flooded. The upheaval of water destroyed all the great cities of Osirian civilization, which forced them to move to higher grounds. This theory would explain the strange megalithic remains found throughout the Mediterranean. Thousands of strange megalithic remains discovered all over the Mediterranean strengthen this theory. And for years, the marine archaeologists have been seeking for those lost ancient cities in the Mediterranean Sea.
