The mystery of the Aramu Muru Gateway

On the shores of Lake Titicaca, lies a rock wall that has attracted shamans for generations. It is known as Puerto de Hayu Marca or Gate of the Gods.

About 35 kilometers from the city of Puno, near the municipality of Juli, capital of the Chucuito province, not far from Lake Titicaca, in Peru, there is a carved stone portico seven meters wide by seven meters high – the Aramu Muru Gate. Also know as the Hayu Marca, the gate apparently leads nowhere.

According to legend, some 450 years ago, a priest of the Inca Empire, hid in the mountains to protect a gold disk – created by the gods to heal the sick and initiate the amautas, the wise guardians of tradition – from the Spanish conquerors.

The priest knew the mysterious door located in the middle of the mountain. Thanks to his great knowledge, he carried the golden disk with him and passed through it and was able to enter other dimensions, from where he never returned.

The megalithic construction has an engraved disk, which is located at the level of the solar plexus. According to its discoverer, the guide José Luis Delgado Mamani, when touching the inner sides of the stone frame with both hands, strange sensations are perceived. It is the vision of fire, musical melodies and, what is even more surprising, the perception of tunnels that pass the mountain.

Some inhabitants of the area maintain that the door is actually the entrance to the “Temple of Enlightenment” or “Site of the Spirits”, and they tell strange stories like some afternoon it becomes semi-transparent, allowing a certain luminosity to be glimpsed.

The name for this enigmatic site was taken from the book written in 1961 by “Brother Philip” (Brother Felipe) and published in England under the title The Secret of the Andes. It’s a strange book that delved into the enigmas of Lake Titicaca and the existence of an ancient priest named Aramu Muru, as the leader of the hidden Brotherhood of the Seven Rays, ancient guardians of the knowledge of the lost continent of Lemuria.

Supposedly, after the destruction of his civilization, that being would have emigrated to South America, specifically to the highest lake on the planet, bringing with him, in addition to the sacred texts of his culture, a powerful gold disk, a supernatural object that recalls the famous “Solar Disk” of the Incas.

Today there are hundreds of people who come to the door, not only attracted by the legend, but also by the belief that behind it is access to an underground world inhabited by beings endowed with a deep spirituality.

The believers kneel in the central cavity and support their forehead in a circular hole, in order to connect the so-called “third eye” with the portal. The whole place that surrounds the Aramu Muru Gate is also called “stone forest”, and since time immemorial the ancient inhabitants of the area considered this site sacred and made offerings to the Sun god.

In the other part of the “portal”, there is a tunnel, called chinkana in Quechua, which, according to the local beliefs, leads to Tiahuanaco and the island of the Sun (or Titicaca island). The tunnel was blocked with stones to prevent the children from getting there and then losing themselves in its depths.

Whether it is a door to other dimensions, to a hidden civilization, or simply a whim of nature, the Aramu Muru Gate adds to the list of the great mysteries that our planet holds.

In 1996, there was a rumor about a boy from a nearby town who claimed that he had seen a group of people dressed in blue and white robes, bowing before the Door, chanting strange words.

In the center, a man dressed in white, as if kneeling, had in his hands like a book that he read aloud. After this, he saw how the door opened and something like smoke and a very bright light came out from inside, where the man dressed in white entered, and after a few minutes, came out carrying metal objects inside a bag…

It is interesting to note that the structure undeniably resembles the gate of the sun at Tiahuanaco and five other archaeological sites which link together by imaginary straight lines, a cross with the lines crossing each other exactly at the point where the plateau and lake of Titicaca are located.

News reports from the region over the last two decades have indicated sizable UFO activity in all of these areas, especially at Lake Titicaca. Most of the reports describe glowing blue spheres and bright white disk-shaped objects.
