The strange disappearance of Amy Lynn Bradley is still unsolved 2

In 1998, a Virginia native named Amy Lynn Bradley mysteriously disappeared while on a Caribbean cruise with her family. From coast guard police to detectives to her friends and family, everyone has tried their best but they have never been able to trace her.

There are several reports of seeing Amy in public places such as tourist beach, brothels and etc. but none has led to the end of its mystery.

The Disappearance Of Amy Lynn Bradley:

On March 21, 1998, Amy Lynn Bradley, her parents, Ron and Iva, and her brother, Brad, left for a weeklong cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas. On the morning of March 24, Bradley had been drinking with the ship’s band, Blue Orchid, in the dance club.

One of the band members named Alister Douglas, known as Yellow, claimed he parted ways with Amy at about 1 am. Some time between 5:15 and 5:30 am, Bradley’s father, Ron, saw her asleep on the cabin balcony. When he got up at 6 am, however, she was no longer there. She just vanished!

Speculations Behind Amy’s Strange Disappearance:

Authorities speculated that she had fallen overboard or left the ship voluntarily when it docked at Curacao. But since then, there have been several sightings suggesting that she was kidnapped and possibly forced into the sex trade.

The above two photos, showing a woman with an uncanny resemblance to Amy Bradley, were found on an adult website. As well, a tourist saw her on a beach accompanied by two men who quickly hustled her away. He identified her by tattoos that matched Bradley’s.

In 1999, an American Navy sailor claims he spoke to her in a brothel, and that she begged for help, saying she wasn’t allowed to leave.

Judy Maurer told investigators in 2005 that, while in Barbados, she was frightened in a public restroom by a woman who matched Amy’s description being escorted by a man. She helped create a sketch, but it was another fruitless lead.

There is currently a USD 250,000 reward offered by the Bradley family for information leading to Bradley’s return and a USD 50,000 reward for information leading to her verifiable location. The FBI is offering a USD 25,000 reward for information leading to her recovery. Her case has been featured on America’s Most Wanted and by the television show Disappeared.

There have been several alleged sightings of Amy Bradley in the 22 years since her disappearance. If she is really alive, then no doubt she is spending her life in such miseries that we never could imagine. It’s really strange to think that in this long period, Amy never got the opportunity to tell her story to someone who really could do something for her.

  1. Dear People, I have been analyzing this case for quite awhile.
First, why did Mr. Bradley panic when Amy had only been missing a short while?
Secondly, regarding the Frank Jones segment; the cook knew her favorite lullaby!
Nothing further was pursued with questioning this woman? And in the picture on the escort
site; there is an old fashioned answering machine behind her? Is that it? Why if you are
running an escort business wouldn’t you use a answering service. If the clients call
directly to the escort, doesn’t the owner loose control?

  2. Dear People; Here is a comment to my earlier comment. The escort “Jas” has a curvy look to her body.
Amy Lynn was, I hate to express it this way, but flat-chested.
Also, in one of the boards there is a statement that Amy spent a lot of time on the basketball court
with a group of guys. Definitely, had gender identity issues, I wonder if after working as a “drug mule”
Amy took her share of the money and had a sex-change operation. Maybe this is why no one can
find her now? I hope that this message does not sound disrespectful, I mean no disrespect.

  3. It’s now 23 years since this 23 y.o young wonan was kidnapped. It’s terrible that Amy hasn’t been located. I have been studying this case and while I wish no distress to her family, I truly believe that she died in 2007 and therefore her suffering is ended.

Every night I remember Amy and her family in my prayers.

  4. The difference in body shape between photos of Amy and “Jas” is easy to understand.

Amy was a very athletic young woman, she was at college on a basketball scholarship, it is perfectly natural that photos of her up to 1998 show her being less curvy due to the regular intense physical activity.

Photos of “Jas” (which date from 2004 although they were made public in 2005) represent approximately 6 years of NOT being athletic. (I think it’s safe to say that her abductors wouldn’t have arranged for her to be playing basketball regularly!)

Without the athletic activity it’s entirely plausible that her body gradually reverted to a more traditionally womanly curvy shape.

God bless you Amy wherever you are xx
